Outdoor rugs come in many shapes, sizes, and color. They are perfect for use on any deck, patio, or outdoor area. They can also be used as indoor rugs and are excellent in high traffic areas. These rugs add a certain element of style to your outdoor living space, but at the same time are tough and durable enough to withstand weather conditions.
Outdoor area rugs are made out of several different kinds of materials. There are natural materials like bamboo rugs, sisal, or something known as “coir” that are used, and there are also man made materials like polypropylene, woven fibers, foam rubber, and plastic. Some of these materials can be combined to make an outdoor rug.
These rugs can be cleaned very easily. If they are used indoors, vacuuming is a simple way of keeping the rug clean. When you vacuum, be sure to be careful around the binding and edges of your rug. Do not let the vacuum sit on top of them for any length of time or the binding may come undone. To clean a rug that is kept outside, simply spray it down with the water hose and leave it to dry in the sun. Before you put the rug back, make sure that both sides of the rug are completely dry in order to avoid issues with mold. If your outdoor rug has something spilled on it, take a white piece of cloth and dab or blot at the spill until it is cleaned up. Rubbing the spill will only make it worse.
Outdoor rugs range in sizes from small to medium to large, as do their prices. While one outdoor rug may only cost ten to twenty dollars, another might be in the price range of over a hundred dollars. Whether they are expensive or cheap though, outdoor rugs provide an element of style to your outdoor area.
